What's actually in the free audit?
You get a full 15-point health check covering your WordPress core and PHP version risk, desktop and mobile Core Web Vitals scores, backup and SSL status, and any plugin or theme vulnerabilities we spot along the way. We don't just hand you a wall of automated scores — our team reviews the results and tells you, in plain English, which issues actually matter and what to fix first. The whole report lands in your inbox within 24 hours, no strings attached.
Do you handle WooCommerce sites, or just basic WordPress blogs?
Both, and we treat them differently on purpose. A WooCommerce store has checkout flows, payment gateways, inventory plugins, and shipping integrations — any one of which can quietly break and cost you real sales. On WooCommerce sites we specifically test checkout, monitor payment gateway uptime, and flag plugin conflicts before they ever hit your live cart. If you're running a simpler brochure or blog site, you still get the same core care — updates, backups, security — without paying for ecommerce-specific monitoring you don't need.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
Not even a little — that's kind of the point of hiring us. You run your business, we handle the WordPress core updates, plugin patches, backups, and security monitoring in the background. When something does need your attention, you'll get a plain-English explanation of what happened and what we did about it, not a wall of developer jargon and error logs to decode on your own.
Will I get hit with surprise charges for every little fix?
No — and this is one of the most common worries we hear from business owners who've been burned before. Routine maintenance, core/plugin/theme updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and security scanning are all covered under your plan at a flat rate, every month. If something outside that scope comes up — a redesign, a new feature, a bigger migration — we'll always quote it and get your sign-off before any work starts. You'll never open an invoice and wonder what it's for.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Every care plan is month-to-month with zero long-term lock-in or cancellation fees. If it's not working for you, you can walk away with 30 days' notice — though most clients stick around, mostly because an unmonitored WordPress site has a way of finding new and creative ways to break.
My site's a mess — outdated plugins, I barely remember the login. Can you still help?
Honestly, that describes most of our clients on day one. We don't expect you to hand us a pristine, well-documented site. We start with a full health audit to see exactly what we're working with, help you recover or reset any access you've lost, and clean things up on a staging copy first — so nothing risky touches your live site while we're getting things back in order.
I already have a developer or agency — do I have to cut them loose?
Not at all. Plenty of our clients keep their existing designer or developer for new builds and redesigns, and bring us in specifically for the ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and security side that tends to get neglected once a project ships. We're happy to coordinate directly with whoever else touches your site.
How fast do you actually respond when something breaks?
Critical issues — your site is down, checkout is broken, you're staring at a white screen — get picked up within hours, not days. Non-urgent requests are typically handled within one business day. You'll never be told to "check back Monday" while your site is actively losing you customers.
Do you need my cPanel/hosting access?
Yes — we'll need secure access to your hosting control panel (or server/SSH access, depending on your setup) so we can apply updates, monitor uptime, pull backups, and restore quickly if something goes wrong. All credentials are stored in an encrypted password manager, access is limited to the team members actually working on your site, and we're happy to sign an NDA if your business requires one.
What happens if an update breaks something?
We roll back immediately from a pre-update snapshot, typically within minutes. In practice this rarely happens, because every WordPress core, plugin, and theme update is tested on a staging clone of your site first — we only push changes to your live site once we've confirmed nothing broke on staging.
What security measures do you actually put in place?
Every site under our care gets a web application firewall, brute-force login protection, malware and file-integrity scanning, and automatic blocking of known vulnerable plugins. We also monitor for suspicious admin activity and patch disclosed WordPress core and plugin vulnerabilities as soon as they're published — often before most site owners even hear about them.
How are backups stored, and how fast can you restore my site?
Backups run automatically — daily at minimum, with more frequent snapshots available for high-traffic or WooCommerce sites — and are stored encrypted on off-site cloud storage, completely separate from your hosting account. That separation matters: if your host has an outage or your account gets compromised, your backups aren't going down with it. Most restores take well under an hour.
What if I want to switch hosting providers down the road?
We'll handle the entire migration for you — DNS, files, database, email routing, the works — with zero downtime and nothing left behind on the old server. It's included as part of ongoing care if you're already a client.
